The Phils turned to rookie righthander Bob Walk in this contest against the San Francisco Giants.  Walk struggled early, giving up three in the first inning, but held the Giants scoreless for the next four innings before giving way to the bullpen.  Greg Luzinski and Garry Maddox homered to help the Phils win the game.
