July 19, 1980

It wasn't a great night for the Phils, who dropped a pair to the Atlanta Braves.  In the first game, Atlanta scored four runs in the sixth inning, including home runs by Garry Matthews and Bob Horner off of Dick Ruthven to ice a 5-2 decision.  In the second game, Atlanta scored six runs off Dan Larson and Dickie Noles, again in the sixth inning, to cruise to a 7-2 decision over Larson and the Phillies.  The double-loss dropped the Phils to two games behind the first-place Pirates.
