July 20, 1980

The bad times kept coming as the Phils lost their third straight game in Atlanta.  Rookie Bob Walk would take his first career loss, although he pitched fairly well, giving up three runs in six innings of work.  The Phils offense continued to sputter against Braves pitching, scoring just two runs (one earned) against Atlanta starter Larry McWilliams, who went the distance to pick up his seventh win.  The Phils dropped another half-game to Pittsburgh, who split a double-header with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
