Phillies’ Trillo Returns

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – The Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday reinstated second baseman Manny Trillo, placed infielder Luis Aguayo on the 15-day disabled list and disclosed that pitcher Rawly Eastwick had been signed by Omaha of the American Association.

At press time, the Phillies and the Atlanta Braves game was halted in the third inning due to rain with Philadelphia leading 3-0. It was the second rain delay.

Trillo was placed on the 15-day disabled list April 20 after severely spraining his right ankle. He had played in seven games and was hitting .417. He did not start in Wednesday night’s game against the Atlanta Braves.

Aguayo strained a thigh muscle last weekend during a series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
