May 27, 1980

First place - so sweet, so fleeting.  Steve Carlton did his usual excellent job, going eight innings, but the Phils were not able to completely solve Pittsburgh's Jim Bibby.  Unable to decide the game in regulation, the Pirates were able to break through against Dickie Noles, winning the game in 13 innings.
