Manny Trillo Reinstated

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – The Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday reinstated second baseman Manny Trillo, placing infielder Luis Aguayo on the 15-day disabled list and disclosed that pitcher Rawly Eastwick had been signed by Omaha, of the American Association.

Trillo was placed on the 15-day disabled list April 20 after severely spraining his right ankle.  He had played in seven games and was hitting .417.  He did not start in Wednesday night’s game against the Atlanta Braves.

Aguayo strained a thigh muscle last weekend during a series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Eastwick, who posted a 3-6 record with a 4.88 ERA as a reliever with the Phillies last season, had been released unconditionally.

Eastwick was in the major leagues five years.
