Easton mayor to throw first ball in Phillies game

Easton Mayor Philip Mitman will throw out the first ball when the Phillies meet Los Angeles May 3 at Easton Area Day at the Phillies.

A party celebrating the birthday anniversary of the team mascot, the "Phillie Phanatic" will precede the game. The Easton High School Band will perform during the afternoon.

Easton has set aside 700 terrace box seats in left and center fields, and has arranged for buses to transport spectators from the Lehigh Valley to Veterans Stadium. The box seats will cost $5.50 each and the bus ride, $7. Reservations can be made through the office of Easton Community Services Administrator Gretchen Wrenshall in City Hall.
