George Vukovich saw time in several games during the 1980 LCS, but did not appear in the World Series. A reserve outfielder, Vukovich, a rookie in 1980, saw limited action with the team that year, playing in 78 games. He was a surprise addition to the 25-man roster after impressing manager Dallas Green during spring training. Vukovich made the jump from AA to the majors in 1980, having played in Reading in 1979.
