Jay Loviglio - #22 - PR/2B

Born – Freeport, N.Y., 5/30/1956

B-R, T-R… 5-9, 160

Another of the September call-ups, Loviglio never saw time in the field until the last day of the season, starting at second base for a reserve-dominated line-up after the Phils had clinched the division.  However, Loviglio played an important role as a pinch-runner in September, appearing in 14 of his total 16 games as a pinch-runner and scoring more runs (7) than he had total plate appearances (6), of which 5 were in the last game.  Five of his runs were scored in Phillies wins.
