June 11, 1980 - San Francisco 7, Phillies 4

Manny Trillo jumps for the throw as Bill North steals second.

Another long day for Phils starter Randy Lerch. Lerch did not get out of the fourth inning, allowing four earned runs to take his eighth loss of the year. The Phils were never able to muster enough offense off of Giants starter Ed Whitson, scoring four runs in the game on just six hits. The Giants' Rich Murray had perhaps the best performance of his career, hitting a first inning home run off Lerch and driving in four runs on the day. Greg Luzinski did hit his 14th homer of the season in a losing effort.
