It was a rough day for Bob Boone, who committed three errors behind the plate. It was an even tougher day for Dick Ruthven, who gave up six runs, didn't make it out of the fifth inning, and took his first loss of the year to knock the Phillies back to .500. Big hit was a 2 on-2 out home run by Gary Carter in the fifth inning, when the Expos took a 7-4 lead. Scott Sanderson clinched his first win of the season for Montreal. Mike Schmidt did hit his first home run of the season, Luzinski his second.
